Shanked by Computer
Last year I was in the market for a new laptop. I shopped around, setting one of then latest models of Macbook Pro as a benchmark, and compared every other option to the Pro. On my most trusted computer review website, I found two laptops that became finalists in my selection list. One of them, which I ended up buying, is made by a Chinese manufacturer which shall remain unnamed.
This was an expensive laptop. It was a gaming machine that I bought as a desktop replacement, which means I wanted power and portability, and that comes at a premium. I payed through the nose for this machine and couldn’t wait to get it home and see it purr.
